What’s not to love about mustard?! First of all, it can give any dish a specific note that no other ingredient can. Secondly, thanks to mustard foods become
spicier and much tastier!

3 tasty recipes for appetizers with mustard:
- Mustard & Pea Puree
Products:
350g peas, frozen
1x avocado
1tbsp mustard
3tbsp cream cheese
1 clove of garlic
3tbsp milk
1 lemon
Parsley
salt
Extra virgin olive oil
Yoghurt, for garnish
Chia seeds
First, boil the peas until they are soft. Leave them aside and after a while, drain. Add the chopped garlic, parsley and the avocado. Then mix with the cheese, salt, milk, the EVOO and squeeze the lemon’s juice on top. Strain until you reach homogenous structure.
Serve with some yoghurt and chia seeds on top.
TIP: This puree is usually quite thick, so you can always add some more milk.
- Potatoes with mustard
Products:
1kg potatoes
½ cup of mustard
2tbsp olive oil
2tbsp lemon juice
4 cloves of garlic
1tbsp oregano, dried
1tsp salt
Peel the potatoes and cut them into slices.
In a bowl mix the garlic, salt, oregano, lemon juice and the mustard. Pour this mixture on top of the potatoes and mix well.
Take a large baking dish, put baking foil and grease with the olive oil. Place the veggies and bake for 20 minutes at 190C°. Then flip them on the other side and bake for 20 more min.
- Mayo-mustard sauce
Products:
200g mayonnaise
2-3tbsp yoghurt
2 cloves of garlic
Fennel
1tbsp mustard
EVOO
Salt, black pepper
That one is so easy! Mix all the products as you make the garlic cloves into a paste. Stir until very homogenous and season with salt and black pepper by taste.
