Summer is just amazing…beach, tan, sea and sunlight. What else can we long for?! It turns out that during the hot days of summer we often forget to do our morning workout and leave it for the late hours when it’s a bit
‘less hot’ outside.
If you hit the gym about 1 to 2 hours before you go to sleep (oh, yes, some still do this!), then you need to
know some stuff.
Don’t choose big portions! This might cause bloating and unpleasant feelings in the stomach. Instead, you can make yourself a fast and easy to digest food that’s still
very rich in proteins.
Here’s
5 inspirational ideas you can get about your after-workout meal:
- Banana with peanut butter
Try mixing those two products and you’ll be amazed by how they taste. However, before that make sure you have
100% organic peanut butter! A truly natural product will give you enough proteins and not just simple carbohydrates. What’s more, bananas are popular as a great source of minerals like potassium and magnesium, which we tend to ‘throw away’ during an intense workout.
- Greek yoghurt with fruits
In case you don’t know, Greek yoghurt is also said to contain lots of proteins with
minimum fat. Read more about this product as you click
here! On the other hand, fruits like strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and others (no matter fresh or frozen) don’t have much calories and carbs. Good news is, they are
full of antioxidants, which a serious fitness maniac will definitely need!
- Quinoa salad
This
super food that we know today is maybe one of the
best vegan protein sources. Did you know that just 100g of quinoa has about 15g of proteins? Try mixing it with peas in case you want to increase the protein intake even more. And to make it even better, add some of your favourite veggie.
Bon appetite!
- Sweet potatoes and eggs
We would suggest you bake the potatoes. It takes time, but it’s worth it! Sweet potatoes in combination with eggs can be the perfect thing. That’s basically
a true health bomb, full of biological value. As far as the eggs are concerned, you can make them however you want!
- Salmon with spinach
That’s another amazing combo! When you add a tablespoon of
EVOO on top of that meal, you’ll forget how hard you trained those legs (or else!). Eating salmon with spinach can supply your organism with vitamin D, B12, Omega 3 fatty acids, proteins and, of course, antioxidants.
Finally,
don’t forget to drink water as well, because
hydration is what matters most!
