Maybe you already have a bunch of cake recipes in your mind, but does any of them include fruit juice? The idea of cooking a dessert that would give out wonderful fruity smells all around your home is pretty tempting, huh!? First of all, let’s point out some of the most important things before you get this started!
  • If you’re not a great fan of orange juice, you can use any other kind of juice. Of course, this would change the flavors and the taste, but it’s all up to you.
  • The most important thing for a ‘happy ending’ is to whip the sugar and the eggs to perfection! Remember: both products should not just double up their size; it should become at least 4 times bigger! To achieve this result, beat at high speed for long enough (around 10 minutes).
So, here’s the recipe for our fluffy, flavorful Orange juice cake: Products: 6 eggs 250g sugar 200ml vegetable oil 200ml orange juice (or other) Orange zest 360g self-rising flour ½ tsp baking powder 2 tbsp cocoa powder Preheat the oven at 175°C. Put some oil over your baking dish (which should be with a hole in the middle) and then sprinkle some flour. Mix the self-rising flour with the baking powder. In another bowl beat up the eggs and the sugar at high speed until the mixture goes up to the edge. Then gradually add the vegetable oil and the juice. When you do this, we would suggest that you don’t stop whipping. In the end put the orange zest and the mixture of flour and baking powder to the other ingredients. Stir until you create a homogenous blend. After that take 1/3rd of this mixture and combine it with the cocoa powder. Pour the second part at the bottom of your large baking dish.
