TOP 3 Broccoli Recipes your Kids will Love!

“When you offer your young child broccoli, do it with the same enthusiasm that you would offer a fresh baked cookie. Watch what happens.” It’s all about the right approach, guys! All adults know how healthy this green veggie is, right?! Sadly, there are still some people who don’t get on with very well with it. Remember that if you want to make your kids eat broccoli, you should serve as a role model! So, here’s our top 3 broccoli recipes that will definitely make your child(ren) fall in love with it:
  1. Cream of Broccoli Soup
For 6 portions: Spring onions 1x big broccoli 1,2l chicken broth 125g butter ¾ cup of flour Salt, black pepper cream of broccoli soup First, chop the onions and divide the broccoli florets. Then melt the butter and cook the onion with the flour until it turns golden. Add the chicken broth, while constantly stirring. After a couple of minutes add the broccoli and cook at medium heat for about 10-15 mins. Then strain the soup and in the end season with salt and black pepper.
  1. Broccoli with almonds
For 4 portions: 2x broccolis (with stems) 125g butter 100g peeled almonds 1tbsp lemon juice Himalayan salt broccoli with almonds Steam the vegetables for 8 to 12 minutes. Then cover them so that the stems can become soft. *If you prefer to boil the broccolis in water, leave them for 5 minutes to cool. Meanwhile, melt the butter and fry the almonds for 2-3 mins. Then add the lemon juice, the salt and the veggies. Stir carefully and serve while still hot.
  1. Broccoli pesto pasta
For 4 portions: 1x broccoli ½ cup of cheese ½ cup of walnuts 450g pasta (macaroni) 1 cup of sweet corn Salt, black pepper Extra virgin olive oil broccoli pesto pasta Boil the broccoli florets in 3l of water for 4-5 mins or until soft. Then put in the mixer and make your pesto together with the cheese, walnuts, olive oil, basil, salt and pepper. In the meantime, boil the pasta. After that add the sweet corn and pour with the broccoli pesto. Season with black pepper and serve with thin slices of cheese on top (optional).
