5 Filling Foods & Drinks you Can Try after The Christmas Feast

During the Christmas holidays our motto was: “A balanced diet is a Christmas cookie in each hand.” Enough is enough! After the great feast we all had to enjoy, everything comes to an end eventually. And that’s why we’ve got to get back in shape. New year, new goals. Right?

Good news is there are some certain types of foods and drinks that are actually able to make you feel sated without adding extra fat on the body. Keep reading to find out more!

  1. Oats

It’s not our first time to speak about oats. The truth is this food is quite popular today as most fitness addicts tend to take it very seriously. We have to follow the good example and eat oats more often. They are said to be rich in fibers, which is a certain sign that they can keep us satisfied for a long time.

2. Chia

Another super food on the road! Chia seeds are thought to slow down the process of sugar and fat penetration into the blood. If this doesn’t happen, you might end up with quite a lot of excess fat. You don’t want this, though, do you?!

3. Cinnamon

Oh, cinnamon, cinnamon, how much we love this one! Although the herb might have been one of your main ingredients when baking the Christmas cookies, it’s time to use it in other foods or drinks as well. It’s good in oat porridge, for example, or in your morning cup of tea.

4. Coffee

Although you probably didn’t expect coffee to be in today’s list, well, it is! It’s because the drink is said to suppress appetite and by drinking it you may feel less hungry. Long term!

5. Leafy green vegetables

These are quite an important part of the healthy diet as a whole. So it’s a good idea to take leafy greens throughout the year, not only after the Christmas overeating. Broccoli, parsley, spinach, cabbage… you name it! All of them are popular for their healthy properties as they contain chlorophyll, proteins, enzymes, vitamins and minerals.
